Welcome 2020
We’re in a whole new decade y’all!
If you’re reading this, then I know that you already know that but I can barely believe it myself. 2019 was such an incredible year for me and I’m walking into the new decade with so much gratitude. I’m coming up on 2 years of running my own successful company, SingleBubblePop Design Studio and I’m going to be a wife very soon. When I look back at the beginning of the 2010s in comparison to the beginning of the 2020s, I can barely tell all of this life was lived by the same person. Here are a few things I learned in the last year of the decade.
RISK & FAITH - When you have strong faith, taking risks is a lot less scary. And being a business owner is ALL about risk! My bible app told me that I spent 362 years in the Bible last year and I cannot tell you how much that time in the Word mattered to me.
SHARE YOUR HEART - I had so many enriching conversations with other designers and women last year that showed me we all are more alike than we are different. The same struggles I have they do too!
RELATIONSHIPS MATTER - Again I saw how when you treat people well, the benefit comes to you tenfold. There were so many moments and connections that I know were made because I treated someone well.
GOD IS ALWAYS THERE - In October and November of 2019, I had to shut everything down when I spent 20 days as a hospital patient getting treatment for an awful multiple sclerosis relapse. I was overwhelmed by all of the prayers and visits I received from friends and family and it truly put my whole life into perspective. Now that I am back to myself, I can see how God was there through it all.
What’s coming up in 2020? Well this month I am venturing with a group of designers to Las Vegas to attend KBIS the premier Kitchen & Bath Industry Show! I’m so excited to attend with the Designhounds crew and learn about the latest and greatest for both kitchens and bathrooms. You know I’ll be sharing what I find along the way, so be sure to follow me on Instagram for all of the goodness!
Thank you so much for spending another year with me and I cannot wait to share what we have planned for 2020.
