One Room Challenge // Reveal!
I'm so excited to share the reveal of my #OneRoom Challenge space today!
I have to admit that I was a little overly ambitious with my goals for my place, but half way through I decided to focus on just ONE area of my studio instead of trying to transform the entire space.
That allowed me to really hone in on one area to get the biggest bang for my buck. Let's look at the sad before...
It was bad y'all. The thing about a studio apartment is that you have one huge open space and it's challenging to find a way to decorate a large wall without it feeling cluttered. I used paint and fabric wallpaper to create some architectural interest and symmetry!
Now I have a cozy area that doubles as my living room space and dining area. I love having my girls over for girl's night and this is the perfect setup where we can relax and enjoy some food (and wine!). You may recognize those lamps from my bedroom tour video. I replaced the shades and shined them up again, and they work perfectly against the floral wallpaper.
I love the base of this table because it's minimal, but interesting. It makes a bold statement in front of my thrift store sofa. I decided to place this black & white plush rug underneath to ground the space, and I could not love it more.
The painting is something that I did last week and I love how it adds a modern element to my vintage pieces. My favorite thing is to mix old with new!
If you have been following my blog for years, you may recognize this silhouette pillow. A few years ago, I was selling these! I had an extra cover stored away and I decided to bring it back out. Should I start selling them again?
Overall, I'm really happy with how the space came out & I cannot wait to have friends over soon! Finally my studio looks like a designer lives in it instead of a college student collecting hand me downs. Even though the One Room Challenge is over, I'm still going to continue working on other areas of the studio, and I'll share here on the blog. Thank you so much for following along!
